Just felt like posting something on this very morning... Spent an hour plus watched the show "FEAST OF LOVE" featuring Morgan Freeman, Greg Kinnear, Radha Mitchell and Billy Burke. K, these names probably do not sound a bell in you if you have never watched "SE7EN" or "LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE" or "SILENT HILL" or... Wait... I cannot recall Billy Burke either... Oh no... Shame on myself.
K, back to the topic, FOL. Well. I particularly like the synopsis posted on Apple Trailers:
From venerable Academy Award(r) winning director Robert Benton (KRAMER VS. KRAMER), comes a kaleidoscopic ode to life and love in all its funny, sad, sexy, crazy, heartbreaking and life sustaining facets: FEAST OF LOVE. In a coffee shop in a tight-knit Oregon community, local professor Harry Stevenson (Academy Award(r) winner Morgan Freeman) witnesses love and attraction whipping up mischief among the town’s residents. From the unlucky in love, die-hard romantic coffee shop owner Bradley (Academy Award(r) nominee Greg Kinnear) who has a serial habit of looking for love in all the wrong places, including with his current wife Kathryn (Selma Blair); to the edgy real estate agent Diana (Radha Mitchell) who is caught up in an affair with a married man (Billy Burke) with whom she shares an ineffable connection; to the beautiful young newcomer Chloe (Alexa Davalos) who defies fate in romancing the troubled Oscar (Toby Hemingway); to Harry himself, whose adoring wife (Jane Alexander) is looking to break through his wall of grief after the wrenching loss of a beloved . . . they all intertwine into one remarkable story in which no one can escape being bent, broken, befuddled, delighted and ultimately redeemed by love’s inescapable spell.
Very concisely composed and indeed a fantastic synopsis... I wish I could do GP summary like this=)
Anyway, I felt really touched after watching the film and I just thought that I should share with everybody, especially those who are still under 21!
Thanks to our darling MDA, FOL, first screened in US last year September, will only arrive Singapore on the 21 February this year with a big big "R21" rating on it for some sexual scenes.
SO first of all, a very very clean trailer for you guys to get a not-so-complete taste of the film=)
Alright, find it interesting? Hehez, you can find a better one on the official website of the film - FEAST OF LOVE.
True and true that there are quite a number of nudities and sexual scenes, however, just like "LUST, CAUTION", they are useful in telling the story and convey the message behind all these.
As for the story itself... It really touches your heart if you have once experienced it, in any way.
K, this is really too early to write... I have no idea where this is going into... Haha. Good Morning, everyone=)
